A fashion show is one thing. A fashion show that is empowering women who have struggled with the reality of breast cancer is everything.
This fashion show was an event that Grace & Glam was lucky enough to be a part of. Megan was the model who was chosen to work with us. When Dr. Theresa Hegge started to talk about this event and what it would look like we had no idea it would be this life changing. I feel like being a girl you never think that something like that would happen to you. But one in every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
The women who walked on this runway have over come something that no women should ever have to go through. Being surrounded by their friends and family who were there through this hard time and seeing them now beaming coming out on stage having overcome this was so powerful.
Lots of tears were shed, relationships made, and laughs and cheering. I am so proud and thankful that each of the models got out and shared their stories with us. It was truly and awesome night.
